Description

A-15, formerly A-10, or known by its old nickname "The Sloth",[1] is (usually) the first entity to be encountered in Interminable Rooms. As its name suggests, it will start to appear anytime after A-015 room is opened.

When spawning in the lobby, a loud bang will be heard as a cue, it makes a rumbling static-like noise ambience, and will start to travel to the latest room at a slow pace. It shakes the player's screen and gets more progressively intense the closer entity is to the player. If it catches a player, a jumpscare will occur and instantly kill them.

A-15 would able to transform into a much faster and more dangerous variant, known as X-15, though this can only happen after room A-050. A-15 makes its debut just 20 rooms back before the next entity known as A-35.

Appearance

A-10 Animation

fig. 1.1 A-15's in-game appearance and animation.

A-15 appears as a solid, strong blue-colored entity that has a broad smile revealing teeth that are the same color as the entity itself. It is accompanied by two wide eyes with identically colored sclera and slightly dilated pupils.

In-game, it surrounds itself with a bright blue-colored glow and shakes violently as it moves through the rooms. (fig. 1.1)

Strategy

A10dodge

fig. 2.1 An example showing how hiding is used to evade entities (A-15).

  • To survive A-15, players must hide in any of the given hiding spots in the room they are currently in. (fig. 2.1)
  • After reaching the rooms above A-030, players are advised to cover as much distance as they can before A-15 reaches the point where it is too close. Due to its slow speed, it will take some time to reach the player.
    • Players need to hear its thud-like sound to know it's present, as well as its ambience to know it is coming.
  • Due to A-15 being slow, it can serve as a distraction; it allows other entities to attack the player and can make them forget that it is present. If the other entities have despawned players should remain in their hiding spots for a few seconds and try to determine the distance of A-15 from themselves.
    • The player should not make their presence a priority if they are in an area where other entities may appear. As previously stated, this may serve as a distraction.
  • If the players are in any room above A-200, they should take some time to listen to A-15 just in case it is present, as it is quieter at this stage. This will allow them to keep in mind that the entity will attack soon. This should also prevail in a room where the player's footsteps are loud (e.g. Catwalk Room & Kitchen).
  • Note that A-15 is one of the few entities that possess an X-Variant, and both entities possess similar ambiences using the same origin, but X-15 has a higher pitch. Because of this, players may assume that A-15 is arriving when it may be X-15.
  • Since A-15 is very slow, players should not hide in a gray locker or fridge immediately due to the possibility of A-100 spawning. This is unless you hide in the previous room.

Notes

  • A-15 is one of the slowest runner entities in the game.
    • Despite A-15 being one of the slowest entities, players are not able to outrun it.
    • To understand how slow A-15 is, it takes A-15 5 minutes and 7 seconds to get to the Section E from the lobby.
  • A-15 may sometimes sound like it is close, even if it’s still somewhat far away.
  • A-15 can sometimes get stuck, though this has most likely been fixed.
  • A-15's ambience will become harder to hear due to the distance, reaching a point where its spawn sound can no longer be heard. Although its ambience can be heard about a hundred rooms behind, it can still be difficult to determine the entity's presence.
  • On rare occasions, A-15 may immediately spawn at the lobby after despawning.
  • If A-300 spawns A-15, A-15 will spawn 10-20 rooms behind the player, making starter players have a higher risk of not knowing and dying.

Trivia

  • A-15 is the entity that appears in most thumbnails for the game, appearing in 3 of them.
  • It is one of those entities that can affect the environment around it, breaking any columns it collides with. The entity is A-245 which can break lockers. A-15 needs to break ranks because of its low speed, otherwise it will get stuck. The third is U-400, un-anchoring all parts of the map.
    • This is now false, as every entity can now break pillars.
  • During the April Fools Updates, A-15 could turn into XX-15 by chance, replacing its X-Variant, X-15, completely for the event.
  • Under very rare cases, A-15 may despawn randomly without even reaching the last room, this can be common if A-15 is spawned by A-300.
  • Zvardin has given very few entities official nicknames, like how A-60 is being called "The Multi-Monster" by nicorocks5555. A-15 originally had a nickname, "The Sloth", making it one of the few to have a nickname.[1]
    • This is no longer true, however. [2]
  • A-15 can spawn randomly, but it takes very long.
  • A-15 jumpscare sound origin comes from a rhythm thief video.
    • This sound originates from the timestamp 0:21.
  • A while ago, before A-15's name was changed, it was originally going to be renamed to "A-20" due to its current room number being too early and not allowing build-up or suspense for the game.[3]
    • However, its name was planned to be changed to A-15 instead, due it to being a bad idea by causing a entity clutter with A-35 from 15 rooms away.
  • The first sneak peek of A-15 was posted on October 20th, 2022. This makes A-15 the first entity to ever be shown. (Seen in gallery miscellaneous teasers section.)
  • A-15's CFrame value is 3.
    • This means that A-15 goes at 90 Studs per second, or 1.245 rooms per second.
  • For some reason on March 14th of 2024, A-15 got a weird joke design and ambience. It is a still image of A-15 in the game. The image can be found here.
    • This has been reverted later in that day.
  • In the game's early development, A-15 was originally going to appear after A-60, but it was changed because Zvardin didn't want to change A-60's name, since some of the other Rooms fangames make A-60 spawn earlier.[4]
  • A-15 is still referred to as A-10 in the game files, the same goes for X-15.

  • A-15 runs a lemonade stand. [5]
    • A-332 makes fun of A-15 for being slow and selling lemonade.[6]
      • One time when A-332 did this, A-15 got revenge by spilling lemonade on A-332's eyes. [7]
    • A-60 once accidentally ran over A-15 lemonade stand, which led to A-60 being attacked by the latter with a subspace tripmine. [see "miscellaneous gallery]
  • A-15 and A-35 are best friends. [8]
    • A-15 and A-35 are the type of entities to accidentally summon a wendigo by being told to screw in a lightbulb. [9]
  • A-15 is 27 years old. [10]
  • A-15 has motion sickness. [11]
  • A-15 sells limeade, if it runs out of lemonade. [12]
  • A-15 eats wet ceiling for breakfast.[13]

  • Bugs

    • While heading towards the end of the map, A-15 commonly tends to be deflected off by objects obstructing its linear path or get stuck against it, which causes it to slow down even more.
      • Another possibility, instead of being deflected by furniture/objects, it might be uplifted into the ceiling instead, which causes its glow to not be seen from afar, resulting in players having to depend on audio cues.
    • When playing older versions in THE HISTORY, A-15 may move seats in the Conference Room, creating invisible seats which seem out of place.
    • On rare occasions, A-15 may de-spawn early at a point it isn't supposed to which possibly serves as a contributor to screen-shaking suddenly being removed.
      • This can be seen in the gallery here.
    • A-15's decal image will sometimes not load, making it invisible while its light is still being visible.
    • A-15's ceiling glitch can happen when slower entities such as A-15 and A-80 glitch and bounce off the tables in the kitchen or meeting room.
      • This was likely due to a entity was anchored and can float across in the rooms.
    • A-15 had a most rare chance that can get temporarily get stuck there in a column room while it's rushing instead, while sticking up there and can not break and does not move, However, it gets possibly unstuck in every second that have been stuck and then continue to move.

    Description

    X-15 is an X variant of A-15, being much more difficult and dangerous compared to the former. It has a small chance of replacing A-15, with those chances getting higher the further players go.

    X-15, alike to A-15, spawns at the end of the map and moves in a straight line until it encounters a door, in which it will despawn. However, unlike A-15, X-15 expresses much faster speed, as well as a quieter sound effect, meaning it is difficult to determine its location, as well as avoid it.

    Appearance

    X-15 appears to be an edited version of A-15. It appears to have bigger, stretched eyes and a bigger mouth. The teeth are noticeably larger. The eyes seem to be thinner and taller than A-15's. Both the eyes and teeth are the color cyan, with X-15 itself glowing the same hue. It shakes much more intensely than A-15.

    Strategy & Tips

    • To survive an attack from X-15, players must get in any hiding spot (Lockers, Functional Blue Lockers, Tables, Fridges).
    • After room A-100, players should not hide immediately if X-15 is heard. It will take a little while to catch up, so try to get through as many rooms as possible until it gets near.
    • X-15's screen shake is only present when it is within a close distance of the player
    • X-15's ambience can easily be overpowered by other entites, screen shake from an unknown source can likely be X-15.

    Notes

    • It is impossible for X-15 to spawn before room A-050, most likely for balancing purposes.
    • X-15 causes slightly more screen-shaking than A-15.
      • Though, it cannot be seen unless the entity is within a 44.77 (?) room vicinity of the player, and only becoming incredibly noticeable by a 10 to 15 room vicinity of the player.
    • The chances of X-15 replacing A-15 are:
      • A-050 to A-099: 4% or 1 in 25;
      • A-100 to A-149: ~6.67% or 1 in 15;
      • A-150 to A-199: 10% or 1 in 10;
      • A-200 to A-249: 12.5% or 1 in 8;
      • A-250 to A-299: 20% or 1 in 5;
      • A-300 to A-349: 50% or 1 in 2;
      • A-350 and onwards: 100%.
    • Due to how XX-15's chances are calculated, X-15 has slightly smaller chances of spawning during the April Fools 2024 Event:
      • A-050 to A-099: ~3.947% or 74/1825;
      • A-100 to A-149: ~6.519% or 44/675;
      • A-150 to A-199: ~9.667% or 29/300;
      • A-200 to A-249: ~11.98% or 23/192;
      • A-250 to A-299: ~18.667% or 14/45;
      • A-300 to A-349: ~41.667% or 5/12;
      • A-350 and onwards: ~66.667% or 2/3.
    • Before Entity Extravaganza Part 1, X-15 always had a 4% (1/25) chance of replacing A-15, no matter how far the player went.

    Trivia

    • X-15 is the first X-Variant entity to be added to the game, on the game's release.
    • The reason why X-15 has been redesigned was because the previous design looked "goofy," as stated by Zvardin.[1]
    • A-15 and X-15 are the same entity, with the former being able to take the form of the latter at anytime.
    • X-15 used to be just a cyan recolor of A-15, but edited a bit.
    • X-15 is one of the entities with the most redesigns in the game with having 3 designs, only being beat by XE-1 with 4 designs.
    • X-15 used to be called X-10, before A-10's name was changed to A-15.
    • X-15 was based around on how other Rooms Fangames would make a different variant of a common entity. (for example A-60 with it's Primes variant in Rooms & Doors)
    • Its jumpscare sound is that A-278 and A-221 but higher pitched.
    • X-15 would have a transformation in the Recoded Update.
    • X-15's spawn sound is shorter than that of A-15's. However, this is usually not noticeable as X-15 usually spawns after room A-120, so the spawn cue is mostly inaudible.

    Version History

    • October 28th 2022 - 1.0.0
      • Added to the game as X-10.
      • Can replace A-10 any time it spawns.
      • Has an 4% (1/25) chance of replacing A-10.
    • December 17th 2022 - 1.2.0
      • Can only replace A-10 past room A-050.
      • Chance now increases the further players go.

    THIS ENTITY IS NOT CANON AND CAN ONLY BE ENCOUNTERED IN THE HISTORY.

    Description

    XX-15, or its former name XX-10.[1] was the first of the four "XX-Variant" entities and was added in the April Fools 2023 Event and was returned in April Fools 2024 Event, along with other April Fools entities and other changes. It was a runner-type entity that would automatically replace X-15 whenever it should've spawned and had triple its speed. The entity would, just like any runner-types and X-15, spawn from the lobby and rapidly make its way towards the final room before despairing upon contact with the last unopened door. Just like any X-Variant (except X-60 and possibly XE-1), XX-15's chances of spawning would progressively increase the further players went into Section A, especially past room A-090.

    The only noticeable difference was that XX-15 is 2x faster than X-15, which is 3.33x faster than A-15, which in total means it is 6.66x faster than A-15 as well as higher-pitched noises as well as the red glow. It would've caused slight screen-shaking due to its quick speed which may have served as a disadvantage to players who depend on visual cues.

    Not much more information can be provided on XX-15, as it acts exactly like X-15 and it is an April Fools entity. As of now, XX-15 is currently removed from the game as the event is over. It is a considerably difficult entity, although easy to evade. It makes its appearance normally before the next XX-Variant, XX-35.

    Appearance

    XX-15 appeared to be an edited version of X-15 but with a very widened grin. It had considerably enormous eyes with pupils dilated to a high degree. It is changed to be fitted with a red color and an evident static effect. It is also similar in appearance to E-1.

    Strategies & Tips

    • It was able to be dealt with just like X-15, simply by hiding in a hiding spots (grey lockers, blue lockers, fridges and tables) it would've provide safety from the entity.
    • It sounded decently quiet which may result in players noticing its presence too late. A way to counter this would've been to have somewhat high volume to hear it, but not loud enough to hurt one's ears.
    • It is harder to deal with this entity at the beginning as it can appear early and is super fast.

    Notes

    • XX-15 doesn't cause much screen-shake like its original variant(s), so it is more reliable to use sound cues.
    • XX-15 replaces X-15 whenever it should've spawned. Therefore, it is impossible to encounter it during the April Fools 2023 Event.
      • However, in the April Fools 2024 Event, it has a chance of replacing X-15 instead of always replacing it, making X-15 still encounterable during the event.
    • The chances of XX-15 replacingA-15 are:
      • A-050 to A-099: ~1.333% or 1 in 75;
      • A-100 to A-149: ~2.222% or 1 in 45;
      • A-150 to A-199: ~3.333% or 1 in 30;
      • A-200 to A-249: ~4.167% or 1 in 24;
      • A-250 to A-299: ~6.667% or 1 in 15;
      • A-300 to A-349: ~16.667% or 1 in 6;
      • A-350 and onwards: ~33.333% or 1 in 3.

    Trivia

    • XX-10 has been renamed to XX-15, during the April Fools 2024 Event.[1]
    • It has been stated by Zvardin that if X3-15 existed, it would be yellow.[2]
      • Zvardin has made an X3-15 (shown in the Gallery), with the file being named "X3-10", confirming that X-variants past XX would be named "X(number)".

    Version History

    • April 1st 2023 - April Fools Event
      • Added to the game as XX-10.
    • April 1st 2024 - 1.11.4
      • Re-added and renamed to XX-15.
      • Now has a chance of replacing A-15 instead of fully replacing X-15.

    THIS ENTITY IS NOT CANON AND CAN ONLY BE ENCOUNTERED IN THE HISTORY.

    Description

    SCARY-15 is likely to be one of the first entities from the April Fools' 2024 Event (otherwise referred to as the 'Minable Room' update) that players will encounter within Section A with Scary Mode activated. When the aforementioned mode is activated, the entity will make its first appearance at A-015, as its name implies. To signify its presence, it can be denoted by a static similar to that of A-15's, albeit at a higher pitch and speed.

    When activated, it will begin to rapidly make its way into the current room from the Lobby in a similar fashion to its normal counterpart, A-15. Upon reaching the current room, rather than despawning, SCARY-15 will begin to stall by the door of the room ahead of the current room for about 5-7 seconds similarly to A-60 before simply despawning.

    Due to the small distance between the Lobby and A-015 (first encounter with SCARY-15), it may be considered a difficult entity to evade given the circumstances the player(s) may find themselves in, however it will likely not pose as much of a threat in rooms succeeding A-100, as a larger timeframe to hide from the entity is provided the further away the player is from the Lobby.

    Appearance

    SCARY-15 takes on an appearance similar to A-15, however its hue has been shifted to a solid red color and is accompanied by a glow of identical hue. Its pupils have been constricted and blood is now seeping from its eyes. The entity's mouth is wide open, distinguishing two rows of teeth. It can also sometimes appear orange when first playing scary mode.

    Strategy & Tips

    • SCARY-15 can be avoided by hiding within a Locker, Functioning Blue Locker and a Table like its regular counterpart, however it may change depending on which entities may be active alongside with it.
    • When encountering SCARY-15 for the first time, players should immediately hide when opening room A-015 as a safety precaution.

    Notes

    • SCARY-15, as stated prior, will not despawn immediately when reaching the current room and instead will stall by the door of the next room for a few seconds. Players are discouraged to quickly leave their hiding spots as they would do with A-15.
    • SCARY-15 can take up to about ten seconds before spawning when opening room A-015, as well as spawn immediately when doing so.

    Trivia

    • SCARY-15's mechanic is nearly identical to A-60's mechanic, the only noticeable difference being the time the former remains idle by the door; stalls by the door for a few seconds longer than the latter.
