The page "V-27" is very loud by nature. Take care when at high volume.

Description

V-27 is the second entity that roams inside Section V and it's the first runner-type of the stated section. It makes its debut just a couple of rooms ahead of the first entity, V-5, and appears a few rooms before the next runner-type entity, V-35. Like the rest of the section's entities, it was recently added along with many other entities in the second part of the Entity Extravaganza update. It is initially encountered upon the opening of room V-027 — hence the entity's name — where it will then spawn within the intermediate room between Section E and Section V and stay for a few seconds before slowly making its way towards the final room and despawning when it reaches its destination.

During its journey through the rooms, it will denote its presence through various rumbling sounds that are partially accompanied by static-like noises and some quiet indiscernible high-pitched noises — such noises are followed by heavy screen-shaking. Its movement is comparable to A-15's as both start from the start of their respective sections and despawn when reaching the last room players have reached, though what is unique about the entity is that it accumulates greater velocity every second its active, starting slow and eventually reaching devastating speeds, being one of the fastest entities currently in the game. Such behaviour can be seen exhibited by E-60, however the way the two gains speed distinguishes the two from one another, with E-60 being slower in terms of maximum speed. Some may consider the various noises it releases to be very loud, though not as loud as A-258. Regardless of its cumulative speed, it shares no other unique properties.

It is a considerably easy entity to defend oneself against during the first 100 rooms of the section due to its slow speed, but after any rooms above V-150 or V-200 it will be noticeably quicker, reaching speeds that are approximately equal to A-183's speed when enraged. Like any runner-type entities, V-27 proves itself to be a moderately dangerous entity that can possibly hinder the player's progress through the section. It can also be time-consuming since its screen-shaking is present even when it is about 50 rooms behind the player and that may result in having to hide due to not being able to accurately determine the entity's location. Despite this, it shouldn't be much of a problem as it can be warded off easily. As stated before, this entity makes its presence just a couple of rooms before the next runner-type entity that is considerably as dangerous or even more dangerous than V-27, that being V-35.

Appearance

V-27 appears as a constantly rotating face with a very rectangular mouth that appears seemingly endless, only allowing three rows of equally as rectangular teeth to be shown. Along the side of its mouth are the entity's eyes, which appear to have heterochromia as both irises are not of identical color, rather they are different — its left / top (as seen in the provided image) eye is a purple-blue color and its right / bottom eye is a bright pink color. It pupils are considerably dilated to some high-degree, its eyes also seem to be slightly deformed as they have an irregularly-shaped perimeter. Often, this appearance is joked to be related to two mathematical symbols, those being a simple division sign (÷) or a percentage sign (%). Like it predecessor, V-27 emits a bright bluish-purple glow — with the exception that it doesn't change colors — and also appears to emit fog of equal hue.

Strategy & Tips

  • Players can counter V-27's attack identically to any other runner entity. They can hide in either of the three lockers on the left side of the room or under any of the two table's on the right side of the room.
  • Sometimes V-27 may appear with other entities, mostly V-35 and this may prove to be difficult to deal with as both entities sound very similar and occasionally cover each others' sounds. One way to identify that this scenario is occurring is by waiting for V-35 to despawn after faking it the first time and if the screen-shaking is still present, remain hidden as V-27 is making its way towards the current room.
  • Screen-shaking also plays a very important factor when identifying if an entity is about to reach the room, as well as helping tell the difference between all of them. For V-27, it will cause immense screen-shaking despite being afar.

Notes

  • V-27 is loud enough, to the point where it may cover up the sound of any other incoming entities, such as V-35 or V-50.
    • Due to it being so loud, it is recommended to turn down the volume if it is close by, or wait out V-27.
  • V-27 accumulates greater velocity each second, the entity being able to accumulate such great speed that it becomes the fastest entity in the game, having the same speed as A-183 when enraged.
  • Past rooms above V-200, V-27 may not emit any sounds which may pose some danger to players, but it will still cause the screen to shake so if this glitch occurs, players can look for screen-shake from an unknown source and hide in a locker or table and wait for the entity to pass by.
  • V-27 will start off very slow, but will progressively accumulate speed the further it goes.
    • V-27 reaches its max speed in 333.33 seconds, or about 5 minutes and 33 seconds.
    • V-27 gets faster every second by about 0.002 RPS or 0.15 SPS.
    • V-27 takes about 15 seconds to speed up by 1 RPS.

Trivia

  • V-27 is actually timed. This means it doesn't spawn when a door is opened, it will instead spawn after a set interval of time.
  • V-27 has the loudest ambience sound in the game. If counting the removed entity A-258 it would be second.
  • V-27 is often joked about among the community for resembling the percent (%) sign and division (÷) sign.
  • On low-end devices (possibly high), when reaching rooms past V-1100 where such devices begin to lag, the sounds of entities may inexplicably become loud. V-27's sounds will become a very quick static sound that silences in under a second, though everything else cannot be heard and the entity will still be present.
  • Its screen-shaking radius seems to be equal to or greater than A-60's.
  • V-27 is joked around the community by having its fan nickname as "Evan".
  • According to Zvardin, V-27's max CFrame value is 50.[1]
    • This means that V-27 goes at 1500 Studs per second, or 22.39 Rooms per second.
  • The way V-27 gains speed was jokingly said to be by dividing its speed by 0.99, possibly why it was designed similarly like a division sign. [Reference Needed]
    • However, the reason for V-27's appearance is that Zvardin wanted an entity to look unique and to stand out from other entities. [2]
  • According to Zvardin, V-27 is an expert at math, not like E-1 that sucks at math. [3]
  • If XV-27 would exist, its mouth wouldn't be green, According to Zvardin.[4]
  • When Zvardin was questioned why V-27's end jumpscare sound exists, he responded with "🍽️", meaning V-27 may kill and eat humans, unlike other entities who don't like the taste of human flesh.[5]
  • V-27 has taught other entities math, but it is unknown which entities were taught by V-27.
  • V-27 in his 2024 April Fools Baldi form upon colliding into V-5's apple form, will brutally consume the V-5 as a gag to the giving Baldi an apple joke.
  • V-27 could possibly have a trail as seen in some footage, not entirely confirmed
