Description
V-35 is the fourth and penultimate entity to roam the rooms of Section V. It is the second runner-type entity, first appearing a few rooms ahead of the previous runner-type entity, V-27, and just a couple of rooms before the contemporary final entity, V-50. V-35 was added within the second part of the Entity Extravaganza, which added the entity itself along with its section and other entities.
V-35 is encountered when players open the door to room V-035, where it will spawn within the intermediate room that connects Section V to the previous section, Section E, before charging towards the latest opened room while emitting cacophonous high-pitched sounds of horrific shrieks and ambiences that stir like A-35's noises, then rebounding off the unopened door and fake despawning after backtracking six rooms, where the rooms will fall into a perturbing silence. After roughly six seconds, V-35 will interrupt the silence before rushing back to the latest room to kill any players who have fallen for its fake disappearance, where it will then rebound off the door again, finally despawning. This movement is identical to X-35, as both entities rebound more than once before despawning as well as evidently share identical names with different section letter prefixes.
V-35 is a considerably more difficult to deal with against in its initial stages because of its ability to fake its despawn like E-200, which may catch players off-guard at first. As players progress further into the section, it may become a relatively easier entity to hide from as its loud ambience sounds give away its presence, which gives players enough time to prepare for the entity's attack. V-35 doesn't cause much screen-shaking, but it causes mild shaking when it is within about a 50-room vicinity of the player, similarly to V-27, which also makes surviving slightly easier.
Appearance
V-35 appears to be a face fitted with a sinister grin with several jagged teeth, resembling a jack-o-lantern face. It has two large eyes with a visible blur effect that have a bright-pink iris with a smaller pink glow on its pupils. The entity itself is surrounded in an equally as pink outline that fades out into transparency. V-35 emits a purplish-pink aura that is accompanied by several soundwaves that travel into both adjacent rooms ahead and behind of it. V-35 can also produce a soundwave effect as it moves through the rooms.
Strategy & Tips
- V-35 can be dealt with as if the player were dealing with any other runner-type entity. Hiding in any of the three lockers or two tables in the room should provide safety from V-35.
- Players should remain hidden while V-35 fakes its despawn, as it could catch players off-guard when the entity reappears. Once the entity passes by a second time, it should be safe for players to leave their hiding spot.
- V-35 is very loud, therefore giving players enough time to prepare to hide from it.
Notes
- V-35 is one of the few entities that have the ability to fake its despawn, along with E-200, although V-35 does not have a unique sound cue that signifies when it truly despawns.
- V-35 will not make its way to V-001 during its final rebound, as it will despawn before given the chance to.
- When faking its despawn, V-35 will go 6 rooms back and turn pitch black.
Trivia
- Like V-27, V-35 is on a timer.
- V-35 was created as a doppelgänger to A-35, although it does not know about A-35's existence, unlike other doppelgängers.[1]
- V-35's image is based off a newer version of the Formidable Face.[2]
- V-35's jumpscare is able to reach a maximum of 122.5 decibels, which could've been intended because of sound waves coming out of the entity and makes it one of the loudest audios in the game. People can risk hearing loss from repeated exposure, so it's a good idea to play through the V section in lower volume, however this is not recommended.
- According to Zvardin, V-35 sells toast.[3]
- This may be a coincidence because A-35 sells bread, which is untoasted toast.
- V-35 is joked around the community by having the name of "Harry."
- V-35 is the second entity to mainly be based around sound, the first being A-258. This could possibly be why they both emit the same soundwaves.
- According to Zvardin, V-35 despises lemons and would destroy anything that is lemon-related.[4] This could also imply that, if they knew each other's existence, V-35 would possibly destroy A-15s lemonade store.
- V-35 is good at football.[5]
- V-35 likes spaghetti.[6]
- V-35 can produce a soundwave effect every 7 seconds.
