Description
XE-1is the X-Variant of E-1 — it was added in the second part of the Entity Extravaganza update along with other entities. It is the third overall X-Entity, being added after X-35 and before X-60. It is the first X-Variant players will encounter while traversing Section E, although there is a possibility players may not encounter it in a run. It shares a similar behaviour to its normal counterpart, as it simply wanders around the room and sometimes backtracks into previous rooms before despawning noticeably quicker than E-1. While moving around the rooms, it emits a lower pitched version of E-1's ambience. XE-1 is not a passive entity contrary to its other variation, instead it will damage if the player is within its vicinity. It isn't much of an annoyance as E-1 is, as the entity is quick and will barely be around to deal significant damage along with moving out of the way quicker.
XE-1 is a fairly rare entity, as it a 2% chance of replacing E-1, though it can spawn as early as E-001. It can also spawn in a room with one or more E-1s, with a chance of more than one XE-1 spawning in a single room. However, due to its low chance of appearing, this is extremely unlikely.
Appearance
XE-1 takes on a similar appearance than E-1. It possesses slightly distorted pupils that gaze directly at the player. Its mouth is somewhat thinner than its counterpart, though its eyes are slightly more enlarged. It has a tealish-green appearance and emits a faint glow of equal hue, which is reminiscent of a Gummy Flashlight.
TBA
XE-1's 3rd design takes on a much more threatening appearance than E-1, with a crazed look on its distorted eyes with deranged pupils that gaze directly at the player. Its mouth is much thinner than its original counterpart, though its eyes are slightly more enlarged. It possesses a tealish-green appearance and emits a faint glow of equal hue, which is reminiscent of a Gummy Flashlight.
XE-1's 4th design appeared as a creepy long, wide whitish-green smile with two glowing eyes with distorting pupils which seems to have a similar appearance to E-1.
XE-1's April Fools 2024 design appearance has its image stretched to look like limbs.
Strategy & Tips
- XE-1 can be defended against if players stay away from its radius to avoid taking any damage from it, though as previously stated, it may not stay around the player long enough to deal any significant damage.
- Players can try to sprint/walk towards the other room to avoid XE-1, as it may be in some other place of the room or in a previous one.
- If XE-1 is paired alongside E-1, players who own a Gummy Flashlight are provided further safety due to E-1's inability to harm players with said flashlight; it will not allow them to sustain any further damage.
